Make enough of these because people will gobble them up.
1 cup ground cornmeal
½ tsp salt
1/3 cup water
1 cup milk
Mix the cornmeal and the salt.
Warm up the milk and water. Pour into cornmeal mix.
Butter a skillet and a tablespoon to drop the batter.
Fry the johnnycakes until browned on both sides.
Serve with applesauce or butter.
